As the nation looks forward to the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, Mass Historical is looking to showcase its extraordinary collections and rich scholarly expertise through the potential creation of a centrally located public experience which introduces audiences to the dynamic role Boston played in the American Revolutionary story. TEA was engaged to help Mass Historical’s team create an Experience Concept that was based on the central principles of interpretive planning. To achieve this, TEA walked the team through a series of workshops designed to articulate a Big Idea, Key Messages, and Audience Outcomes as well as dream up an audience experience that would be compelling, relevant, and dynamic. The result was a plan that all team members could feel good about, aligned with organizational mission, and was ready to be shown to potential funders and other supporters of the project.
