Named a “one-woman dynamo” by The Boston Globe and Boston’s Best 2018 “Creative Catalyst” by The Improper Bostonian, Maria Finkelmeier is a percussionist, composer, public artist, educator, and owner of MF Dynamics. Maria has created large-scale multimedia events in public spaces from Cincinnati to Northern Sweden, with several locations in Boston, including Fenway Park, Charlestown Navy Yard, Edison Power Plant, and Harvard’s Arnold Arboretum.
Maria’s favorite projects include her current work being presented at the Hatch Shell in winter 2021, a 4-week audio-visual installation, Rumble at BLINK Cincinnati, a synchronized light and sound score for the Roebling Bridge, and Waking the Monster for Fenway Park, a live performance and projection piece). She also loves to create intimate performance works at venues and galleries. Maria is excited about TEA because collaboration is at the core of her practice – impact takes a team, and she looks forward to creative conversations and brainstorming!
